Destined to become one of the more popular fast setting, high holding anchors in recent years, the new MMX is the result of 16 months in design and refinement. Rather than attempting to fit form to function, we followed where the engineering led us using the parameters of a lead free, hoop free design to be manufactured in Australia. The MMX anchor uses a broad and well balanced head to aid in turning itself over when landed on its side with the majority of combined mass focused on the tip. However, due to the low centre of gravity, testing has shown this model to land on its base in 95% of drops when using a power down winch or letting out by hand in a variety of conditions.
All MMX anchors feature 250 and 350 grade Certified High Tensile Steel construction in a minimum of 8mm for the head and 10mm in the shank. MMX anchors set fast and deep, exhibiting high holding power to weight ratios. Suitable for most substrates MMX anchors feature a slide that backs down to the head providing a 170 degree reversal for fouled anchors. Featuring a lifetime Warranty against bending, MMX anchors are Australian Made and available in 8 sizes for boats to 70ft+.
