The Australian designed and approved Duoetto MK2 offers selectable temperatures between 30-75ºC on 240v and up to 70°C on 12v so that you can shower, wash, cook, clean and enjoy abundant hot water. NB:

The red light will turn on when the supply voltage is 240V AC / 1000W.

In these conditions the water heater will take 45 minutes to heat the water from 15°C to 75°C and the light will turn off once the temperature on the temperature knob is reached.

The blue light will turn on when the supply voltage is 12V DC / 300W.

In these conditions the water heater will take 2 hours 15 minutes to heat the water from 15°C to 70°C and then the blue light will turn off

Safety Messages:

Under normal operating conditions:

  • The water temperature from the outlet pipe will not exceed 100°C.
  • When water reaches the pressure relief valve the water temperature will not exceed 93°C.
  • When the water temperature reaches 100°C the input energy would not exceed the energy released.

The knob can only adjust the temperature to a maximum of 75°C, when the temperature reaches 75°C the power cycles automatically.The heater will also power off when the thermos-limiter reaches 93°C. If both the knob and the thermos-limiter have failed and the temperature reaches 99°C, the T&P valve will drain away the water.

  • If both 12VDC and 230VAC elements are powered, the unit will automatically switch to highest available voltage

    • i.e. if 230VAC is no longer present, the unit will switch to 12VDC if available

Water  Maintenance: If you have brown coloured water that you think looks like rust  coming from your hot water outlet when you turn on the tap first thing in the morning then you have a problem with hard water or Calcium deposits, one of the leading causes of water heater malfunction is Calcium buildup around the heating element  it begins disrupting the heating process by stifling the heating elements With their heat conveyors caked in calcium, the water heaters must work extra hard to produce hot water. As a result, the water in your heater also takes longer to heat up. The hotter the water is, the more calcium and magnesium comes out of your hot water and forms solid deposits on the elements in your hot water heater

Flushing: To treat this you will need to drain your system of water and fill the heater with vinegar and let it sit for about six hours. This will clean any existing mineral build up from your system. To prevent this from reoccurring we recommend a water softening system. If left untreated this can cause heating element failure. Vinegar is a weak acid that is generally quite safe to use.
